It didn’t rain!
Moffat has a bit of a reputation, both for being a great show but also for having some very unseasonal weather! Thankfully this year it was also reasonably dry.
We had a stand with eleven vehicles, including three motorcycles in various stages of repair.
We might not be one of the biggest clubs around, but we certainly have a wide range of vehicles as these photos show!
Our thanks, as ever, go to organiser and club member Gordon Bisset and his fabulous crew of helpers.
A steady drive down the M6 and along the A66 took two of our vehicles to Grasmere in the English Lake District. We attended this event last year in atrocious weather – this year was altogether different!
Brilliant sunshine and sky high temperatures brought vehicles from all over to this little village sheltered in the valley between high hills. Not only was the field packed, but Grasmere village (just a short walk away) was inundated with visitors.
A great day out, heartily recommended, with all entry fees donated to nominated charities. This year one of these was the Cumbria Blood Bikes – a very worthy cause and one which we were happy, as a club, to support!
